GET TO KNOWTamar

Why did you choose to become a Wildcats Dancer?

Growing up I have been surrounded by many Wildcats’ dancers, such as my teachers and friends, and I have always aspired to be one myself. I have also been a part of the Lynx Dance Crew for a few years and I have loved being
a part of the Wildcats community.

My friends would say my best qualities are:

They would probably say that I’m caring, accepting, loyal and optimistic.

During the off-season I...

When I’m not dancing (which is not often) I enjoy spending
quality time with friends and family and staying active.

My dance idol is:

Briar Nolet.

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

I wish I could fly!

My hobbies outside of dancing are:

I love to cook.

Dream holiday destination:

Paris or Greece.

Future aspirations and why:

Hopefully I will become a registered nurse one day and potentially specialise in pediatrics, whilst improving as a dancer and teacher.

Fun fact about me:

I have two dogs named Bruce and Remi.

My advice for young dancers:

My advise to young dancers is to avoid "marking" in class. The more times you push yourself to perform flat our in class (expression and all), the easier it will be to perform on stage, because the routine will become muscle memory.
